There are over 4,400 Department of Defense employees and over 4,000 contractors assigned to Naval Base Ventura County. Major units stationed at the base include the Naval Facilities Expeditionary Logistics Center, the Center for Seabee and facilities Engineering, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center. Other major units include the Fleet Logistics Support Squadron 55 and the Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Three Zero and NAVAIR WD.
